stopped because someone was sick on the bus.

that we went back to the bus. By Ashleigh
On the first day of camp we had lasagna for tea.
My Dad made it. His name is Craig. Besides why
wouldn't my Dad make good tea. I loved it. At
Mangatepopo Camp we had a room each. In my
room we had six people. we had to work in the
dining room. We wrote stories about what we did
each day. By Christian
On the Lake Rotopounamu walk we were tired, hungry,
sore and soaking wet. We saw a stoat trap. It rained
and rained. Drip! Drip! Drip! went the rain. Thomas didn't
listen. I was moaning to my Mum " I am hungry Mum and
my shoes are wet." Splash! Splash! Splash! At the lake
walk.we saw lots of trees. When we got to the river we
saw a duck. Also there were lots of sticks on the path.
We saw lots of birds. There were lots of trees dripping on
the walk. We saw trees and a stoat trap with an egg in
the trap. There were little drips coming from the sky. Also I
thought there were fish jumping up and my shoes were
soaking wet. I couldn't wait to get back to the bus. I was so

I went to the Trout Hatchery. I felt sort of happy I caught
a rainbow fish. I ate it at home. By Jaedyn
We went to the Trout Hatchery. It was pouring down with
rain. I forgot my rain coat but I was lucky because Mr S.
had rain coats. They were yellow and the rain coats were
humongous compared to me. It was so slippery that I nearly
fell over. There were three toilets. I caught a rainbow fish. My
fish was a boy, Sophie got a girl fish. By Tyla
At the hot pools it was fun because it was hot and
steaming. The big pool was hotter than the littler
pool because the little pool was like a cold bath.
The little pool was shallow and it wasn't as deep as
the other pool. In the bigger pool I couldn't go down
the deep end because it would reach my mouth and
I would choke and cough lots and feel sick. So I went
back to the little end and got a drink. Then I hopped
back in and Mrs Owen said if we hop out we stay out
and I got dressed in my clothes. I sat on the seat and
watched the kids swim around. By I'zyah
It was scary when I went up the steps to the lookout.
It was so cook watching the kids play with imaginary
guns. I saw a grave. There were words on the grave. At
the top of the lookout it showed the whole fort site. I was
hungry and tired. The kids made a heap of noise. I got a
headache. I wished my Mum and Dad could see camp.
By Thomas
I liked the snow and the chairlift was really cool.
It was lots of fun on Mount Ruapehu.
By Jessica
Wow! I slid down the mountain so fast I fell off. I
was so warm that I was going to burst into flames.
I had a little round toboggan that every time I tried
to do it I fell off. It was fun because I made a little
snow angel. When I got in the bus I was so
exhausted that i wished I was in a comfortable bed.

I liked going to the army museum. there were lots of
tanks and guns. There were two people parachuting
with guns. My brother got a souvenir. I saw some
crystals. The ration pack had a lot of food. I ate all of
the food I got in the ration pack. I ate lollies and
chocolate. I liked the noodles the most. By Reid
There was a secret tunnel. We saw a map in the
tunnel. It was dark and creepy. i still wanted to go down
the tunnel. Ryan, Brittany and Thomas were in my group.
